To: Kyle

Kyle,
You have grown up so fast!  You are such a sweet little boy.  You are always helping Mommy with Katie by giving her a paci or putting her bottle in the sink.  You love to play outside on your trampoline (jump-jump).  You still love going with Grandma Williamson to play at her house.  You haven't quite narrowed down a name for your grandparents, but the ones in the running are Mamo, Mammaw, Pee-paw, Pappaw, PawPaw, and Pop Pop.  I'm sure you will decide soon.  Aunt Ashley & you have grown close since she moved back.  I believe you call her "Ashee."  You love taking baths before you go to bed.  You still don't want to go straight to your bed at night.  We usually sing to you and then lay you in your bed.  On the way home from the babysitters you love to sing songs.  Some of your favorites are Jesus Loves Me, Fuzzy Caterpillar, Wise Man, Zacheius, My Bible, If Your Happy and You Know It, and God is So Good (God-to).   You tell people "Bless You _____" (fill in the blank) when they sneeze, and just to make sure you are not left out-you give us a sneeze or cough back. (of course we have to say "Bless You Kyle."  You have become really good at saying "Yes Mam," but you haven't figured out who is a mam and who is a sir.  You still call a tractor a "gocky" even though we make sure to emphasize every syllable when we say the word.  You also love SHOES!!!  As soon as we get home, you run to your room and get out a different pair of shoes.  As long as you don't start switching sweaters, we will be okay. (Mr. Roger's Neighborhood) :)  You do not have a favorite TV show, but you do like Mickey Mouse & his friends.  You have to name them all on your sippy cup everytime you drink out of it.  Kyle you are so loved, and I can only imagine what the rest of the years have in store for us.  You are a true gift from God.  We love you. Mommy & Daddy

Happy Birthday Big Boy

Kyle turned 2 today!  Can you believe it?  He is growing SO fast.  Ronnie and I are not prepared for these next few years to go by as fast as the past two years.  Kyle's birthday party is actually this coming Saturday, but we thought he should at least get a couple presents.  We bought his this car.  Ronnie's parents got him a turtle sandbox.  I don't have a picture of the sandbox yet, but right now he is enjoying laying in it with his pillows and blankets.  We made Kyle breakfast this morning-pancakes, bacon, & chocolate milk.  I was a little worried about the chocolate milk, since we still had to sit through church.  He made it just fine.  Here are a few pictures from this morning.

He didn't want to leave his car.  I would have let him eat his breakfast there,
but sticky syrup happened to be on the menu!!!

All better now!!!

Stained Glass Window?

After a nice Saturday afternoon, this is the view I had out my back door.  I had just finished giving Kyle a bath, when I heard a pop.  Ronnie was mowing the backyard, but it seems that I always here a pop everytime.  I didn't think anything of it until I walked back into the kitchen.  I heard this strange cracking noise.  After realizing that we had a two-pane door, it wasn't as stressful!  Ronnie came to the rescue and created a nice contraption to catch the glass when it fell.  You might not be interested in this one bit-but little things excite me every now and then.  The fun part--getting to bang on the door and watch the glass fall! :)  I know it doesn't sound that exciting.

Boys Will Be Boys

Kyle had a hard time adjusting to his "big boy bed."  We found him in many different areas of his room for the first couple of days.

These are a few pictures of a rainy day.  We brought out this rain coat the day before this picture.  This was back when it never stopped raining.  Kyle just knew he could go out and play (thunder & all) if he was wearing his rain coat.

Spaghetti Face-MMM!!!

Again-Boys will be BOYS!!!

Katie's Update

Can you believe Katie is over 3 months old?  Here is a little update on her.  We went for her two month chekup a little over a month ago.  She weighed 11lbs 11oz (70%) and 22inches long (30%).  I wouldn't call her a chunky monkey like Kyle, but the percentages seem to offer a different perspective.  Needless to say, my babies are very healthy and happy!  Katie can roll over from her tummy to back now.  She started doing that about a week ago.  She has always been able to hold up her head very well.  When I lay her down at night, she pulls her head straight up. (She sleeps on her tummy or Mommy & Daddy do not sleep)  She is eating about 6oz of formula every 3-4 hours.  I stopped nursing after she was two months old and just quit altogether about two weeks ago.  The stress of it all was way too much!  The cost of formula is not that great of a subject though.  She goes to sleep around 9:00 and I wake her up to get her ready about 6:30.  She loves smiling and laughing right now.  Her big brother is a lot of help too!  Here are just a few pictures of the past few months.  I can't believe she has grown so much!!!

Master's Degree

In the previous post, I told you I would explain my Master's a little clearer.  I am getting my degree in Education Theory and Practice through Arkansas State University.  This program is all online, so I don't have to leave my little ones.  There are 10 five week classes, with a one week break in between each class and breaks for the holidays.  If all goes well I will have my degree my next Christmas!  I have found out it is very demanding of my time.  I want to thank Dianna & Kevin for keeping the kids every Monday afternoon, so I can get a head start on the week ahead.  I have to brag a little.  I have already finished my first class, and I made a 100% on every assignment.  I took a picture of the screen so I could prove my smarts.  We will see if there are more pictures in store in a few more weeks.

Blogger Back-Up

Okay..so when I started this blog, I thought it wouldn't be that hard to keep up. Take a picture, add a picture on the blog, and write a little. WOW! Not only was I not good when I only had Kyle to keep up with, now I have both Kyle and Katie!!! Life has been a little busy (CRAZY)! About the time we are getting adjusted to our new schedule with two little ones, I decide I need to get my Master's Degree. This degree will only take me a little over a year to complete, which sounds great right? The problem with this is I think they have crammed two years into about one year of classes! I will go on about that later. So, basically what I am trying to say is please don't think I am not trying to keep everybody up to date. I will try my hardest now that I know how to work my camera (barely) and have constant access to the internet to keep our blog up to date. I was thinking about changing our "blogger title" to something more catchy, but I'm having "blogger's block." Ideas would be much appreciated! Hopefully from now on, our blog won't say "updated forever ago!!!" :) It sure would be nice to have one of those nice new phones, to use to post to our blog. Note to self: A phone that can do it all-christmas present!!!
