Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas.  We celebrated with my family on Christmas Eve and with Ronnie's and Mamaw's on Christmas Day.  Kyle enjoyed Christmas morning especially!  He liked wearing his special "Santa p.j.s" to bed Christmas Eve.
I used to love to lay under the tree when I was a kid.
Santa brought clothes and toys.
Kyle really liked his dinosaur and trucks.
Katie was not wanting to sit still the entire night, so I only got this shot of her.  She had a lot of fun too.
Does this not look like Ronnie?  Wow!!!!

Hi Santa.

Kyle and Katie visited Santa.  Kyle did better than last year, but he still doesn't know what to say to him.  He was more worried about getting OFF Santa's lap after telling him "Hi."  Ashley made Kyle and Katie's shirts for this event.  Thanks Aunt Ash!

Happy Anniversary!

Ronnie and I have been married 6 years on December 11th.  Ronnie suprised me with a weekend trip to Hot Springs.  We visted the AMAZING Christmas lights at Garvin Gardens.  They also had an elaborate model train area.  There were about 4 different trains running through the terrain.  It was also starting to SNOW in some of these pictures.  It was cold, but very pretty!  Here are just a few pictures from that weekend.  I was still getting used to my camera, so the shots aren't that great, but you will get the picture idea.

Happy Halloween

Kyle and Katie went as a pair this year for Halloween.  Kyle was a farmer and Katie was his prized produce, a carrot.  There were so cute!  We went up to my grandma's house, so she could see them that afternoon.  She lives in the country, so she doesn't get any trick or treaters.  Then we headed into town to Ronnie's Aunt Sharon's house.  She usually has about 600 or so trick or treaters every year.  She loves passing out the candy to the kids.  Here are a few pictures from our fun-filled night.
Relaxin' on Great Mamaw's front porch before the big night.
I have a picture that is very similar to this.  I was sitting with my two Papaws on the same swing and porch.  This is the only grandparent I have left.  I love her so much, and I love seeing her with my kids.  She is so proud to be a "Great Mamaw."
"Farmer Brown Kyle"

This was in front of our "Fall Landscape" at our house.  I love Katie's face in this picture.  Did you see the "W" pumkin in the background?  I actually painted that.  I know...it suprised me too:)  I'm trying to get a little more crafty!

Kyle's 2nd Birhday!!!

We had Kyle's 2nd birthday party at our house.  We picked a construction theme for this party.  We had sandboxes set up in the yard with plenty of digging devices.  I forgot to take pictures of the cute balloons and decorations, so you will just have to look hard in these pictures.
I love how these invitations turned out!  I ordered them from paperimpressions.etsy.com.  She did a great job:)
Kyle helping clean up the night before his party.  He loves the leaf blower!
Joanie made Kyle's birthday cake.  She did a GREAT job!  She is so talented!

The sandboxes were great!  I hid little bugs and toys in the sand.  The kids loved digging them up!

They also enjoyed playing with other toys and chasing each other around the yard.
Kyle loved opening his gifts:)  We are so thankful to have all of our family and friends there to celebrate with us.
All the kids got a hard hat to go home with a hard hat.  Kyle had a blast and the weather was not too bad either:)

Catching Up

I AM the worst blogger in the world!  Before you hang me, I do have an excuse.  I have TWO children under the age of 3, and they are wearing me out!!!  The end of school is near, so I think I will try to tackle this blog thing again.  I noticed it has been a little over 1/2 of a year since I posted last!  Please forgive all the catching up I am going to have to do over the next few weeks!  Let the posting begin...

To: Kyle

Kyle,
You have grown up so fast!  You are such a sweet little boy.  You are always helping Mommy with Katie by giving her a paci or putting her bottle in the sink.  You love to play outside on your trampoline (jump-jump).  You still love going with Grandma Williamson to play at her house.  You haven't quite narrowed down a name for your grandparents, but the ones in the running are Mamo, Mammaw, Pee-paw, Pappaw, PawPaw, and Pop Pop.  I'm sure you will decide soon.  Aunt Ashley & you have grown close since she moved back.  I believe you call her "Ashee."  You love taking baths before you go to bed.  You still don't want to go straight to your bed at night.  We usually sing to you and then lay you in your bed.  On the way home from the babysitters you love to sing songs.  Some of your favorites are Jesus Loves Me, Fuzzy Caterpillar, Wise Man, Zacheius, My Bible, If Your Happy and You Know It, and God is So Good (God-to).   You tell people "Bless You _____" (fill in the blank) when they sneeze, and just to make sure you are not left out-you give us a sneeze or cough back. (of course we have to say "Bless You Kyle."  You have become really good at saying "Yes Mam," but you haven't figured out who is a mam and who is a sir.  You still call a tractor a "gocky" even though we make sure to emphasize every syllable when we say the word.  You also love SHOES!!!  As soon as we get home, you run to your room and get out a different pair of shoes.  As long as you don't start switching sweaters, we will be okay. (Mr. Roger's Neighborhood) :)  You do not have a favorite TV show, but you do like Mickey Mouse & his friends.  You have to name them all on your sippy cup everytime you drink out of it.  Kyle you are so loved, and I can only imagine what the rest of the years have in store for us.  You are a true gift from God.  We love you. Mommy & Daddy

Happy Birthday Big Boy

Kyle turned 2 today!  Can you believe it?  He is growing SO fast.  Ronnie and I are not prepared for these next few years to go by as fast as the past two years.  Kyle's birthday party is actually this coming Saturday, but we thought he should at least get a couple presents.  We bought his this car.  Ronnie's parents got him a turtle sandbox.  I don't have a picture of the sandbox yet, but right now he is enjoying laying in it with his pillows and blankets.  We made Kyle breakfast this morning-pancakes, bacon, & chocolate milk.  I was a little worried about the chocolate milk, since we still had to sit through church.  He made it just fine.  Here are a few pictures from this morning.

He didn't want to leave his car.  I would have let him eat his breakfast there,
but sticky syrup happened to be on the menu!!!

All better now!!!

Stained Glass Window?

After a nice Saturday afternoon, this is the view I had out my back door.  I had just finished giving Kyle a bath, when I heard a pop.  Ronnie was mowing the backyard, but it seems that I always here a pop everytime.  I didn't think anything of it until I walked back into the kitchen.  I heard this strange cracking noise.  After realizing that we had a two-pane door, it wasn't as stressful!  Ronnie came to the rescue and created a nice contraption to catch the glass when it fell.  You might not be interested in this one bit-but little things excite me every now and then.  The fun part--getting to bang on the door and watch the glass fall! :)  I know it doesn't sound that exciting.

Boys Will Be Boys

Kyle had a hard time adjusting to his "big boy bed."  We found him in many different areas of his room for the first couple of days.

These are a few pictures of a rainy day.  We brought out this rain coat the day before this picture.  This was back when it never stopped raining.  Kyle just knew he could go out and play (thunder & all) if he was wearing his rain coat.

Spaghetti Face-MMM!!!

Again-Boys will be BOYS!!!
